Xiaogang Zhu

Xiaogang Zhu has had the passion for the fine arts since childhood. He achieved his college education in art and design in China. Then he was a graphic and textile designer. He taught art at Shanghai Jaio Tong University before he came to the U.S. in 1989. He earned his Master’s degree in painting at Radford University in Virginia in 1991. Since then, he became a professional artist. Currently he resides in Bend, Oregon with his wife and son.

A selection of awards, publications and distinctions for Xiaogang include: 1994-present, signature member of the American Watercolor Society; awarded the High Wing Medal of American Watercolor Society; first place in landscape painting of The Artist’s Magazine Annual Art Competition, plus books and magazines.
