MUSEUM DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director provides overall leadership for the Favell Museum, Inc., including operations, staff management, financial management, fundraising and public/community relations. Strategic direction is agreed upon by the Board of Directors to whom the Director reports. The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Museum and acts as the liaison between the Board and the staff serving as an advocate for both groups, reinforcing an environment and staff structure that encourages communication, collaboration and creative thinking.
The Director is responsible for the Patron program and the development of opportunities for generating revenue and contributions. The Director is the community spokesperson for the Favell Museum and applicants should demonstrate aptitudes and experience in those areas.
The Board of Directors seeks a leader who will be creative as well as informative in order to develop and implement the overall direction of the museum. The Director will demonstrate expertise in museum practices in order to maintain the highest possible quality in museum functionality.
The Director should be a model of integrity, fairness, and ethical standards, have strong organizational and administrative skills, and must be a good match to the culture of the museum and the community. The position is full time.
SALARY:
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications. Expectations may be stated in application.
A Master's degree is desirous, however, equivalent education and experience will be considered.
