Bryan Carpenter grew up in Southern Oregon. Bryan has always had an interest in creating things from carving boats from Ivory soap to carving award winning fish. Bryan developed a passion for the outdoors. The awesome beauty he found in nature inspired him to begin painting wildlife many years ago and eventually taking his talent to a new level in carving. He resides in Klamath Falls, Oregon with his wife and children. He is still an avid fisherman and continues to learn his craft while passing on his love of nature and God’s creation to his kids and grandkids.
Bryan is gaining a reputation for his lifelike detailed carvings of fish and wildlife. He has won numerous awards, including many first place awards, best of division and a Judge’s choice at several prestigious art shows.

Most recently, he won the 2010 Canadian National Fish Carving Championship at Parksville, BC. First place as well as the Sportswriter Award and the National Fish Carvers Guild Merit Award were given for his “Wood River Brown” fish sculpture at the 2008 Columbia Flyway Festival and Bryan’s wood sculpture of a male Eastern Brook Trout on a stylized splash captured 2nd in Category, Life-size Decorative Fish, Open Division at the World Fish Carving Championships in St. Charles, Missouri in 2009.
