Robert A. Richert likes to hike
and explore, pausing to bird watch, study, sketch, or take
photographs. In the studio he transforms his outdoor experiences into
acrylic paintings that are naturalistic and visually
exciting.
Robert grew up in South California. Robert earned a Bachelor's Degree in Art at California State University, Long Beach in the 1970's. Studying scientific illustration, he learned to apply the discipline of science to the creation of art.
Robert volunteers as an interpretive naturalist at local ecological reserves. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm about the outdoors with groups of adults and children. Through his artwork and volunteer time, Robert inspires people to ward a heightened appreciation for the environment. Generous donations of his paintings and prints have raised thousands of dollars for conservation efforts.
